Wayfinder Deployment options

Deployment Options That Align with

Your Data Environment

Kythera's Wayfinder platform supports flexible deployment within customer-managed or Kythera-hosted environments so organizations can work with consistent, governed healthcare data for analysis, modeling, and AI.

Designed to Fit

Existing Technical and Operational Models

Wayfinder is designed to operate within modern cloud data environments and align with how healthcare and life science organizations manage data today.Organizations can deploy Wayfinder within their own Databricks environment or access it through a Kythera-managed, Built-On Databricks instance. In both cases, Wayfinder provides consistent data structures, governance, and analytical behavior, without requiring changes to existing tools or workflows.

Deployment Models

Kythera supports two primary deployment approaches, allowing organizations to choose the model that best fits their technical requirements and operating preferences.
Both deployment models are compatible with Databricks-native governance and interoperability features, including Unity Catalog, Delta Sharing, and enterprise security controls.

Customer-Hosted Deployment

Wayfinder can be deployed within an organization’s existing Databricks environment. This approach allows teams to retain control over infrastructure, security policies, permissions, and compute. Customer-hosted deployments are well suited for organizations with established cloud governance, DevOps practices, or internal compliance requirements.

Kythera-Hosted Deployment

For organizations that prefer not to manage infrastructure, Kythera offers a fully managed deployment through its Built-On Databricks environment. This option provides access to governed, analysis-ready data and Wayfinder capabilities without requiring customers to provision or maintain their own environment. It is often used to support faster onboarding and early analytical use cases.

Interoperability Across Tools and Teams

Wayfinder is designed to integrate with a wide range of analytical tools and workflows. Data produced within Wayfinder can be accessed by teams working in SQL, Python, R, and business intelligence tools, as well as through APIs and shared data mechanisms. This ensures that analytical outputs are usable across technical and business teams without additional translation or rework.

Supported integration patterns include:

Built to Scale and Operate Reliably

Wayfinder’s deployment architecture supports large data volumes, concurrent users, and evolving analytical demands. Whether supporting exploratory analysis or operational workflows at scale, Wayfinder is designed to maintain consistent behavior, performance, and governance as usage grows.
